Talk about the loss of two Colerain Township firefighters, Robin Broxterman and Brian Schira, on April 4, 2008

Community response has been phenomenal and overwhelming

7,000-8,000 firefighters from around the country expected to show up during the funeral procession: http://news.enquirer.com/…ll/article

Recall my Dad being with the Colerain Township Fire Department when it was formed in 1975.

He was with the department when the only other death happened back in 1977, 31 years ago.

Found a version of "Amazing Grace" on bagpipes, recorded at the Cincinnati Museum Center in March 2007

Thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of Robin Broxterman and Brian Schira. We know your pain is real.

One year later, and it still hurts. Interestingly enough, I found out from my Mom that she shared a room at the hospital with Robin’s mom on the day I was born. Yes, Robin and I were born at the same hospital on the same day. Small world indeed.
