Look at the following pattern:
1*9=09
2*9=18
3*9=27
4*9=36
5*9=45
6*9=54
7*9=63
8*9=72
9*9=81
10*9=90
Add up the resulting digits of a multiple of 9 and you’ll get 9.
To quickly add 9 to any number increase the tens digit and decrease the ones digit. (same as adding 10 and subtracting 1).
