72 - 5 Year Birthday...

Five years ago today in the wee hours of the morning, August 22, 2005, I released the very first episode of the Journey Inside My Mind podcast. I still vividly recall the hours that led up to it: downloading and learning Audacity, recording it and editing it and posting it online.

So much has changed in five years: the website, the webhost, the frequency, the music, the tools.

I don’t even really know how to mark such an occasion with this podcast, which only recently was revived.  Ido plan on recording an episode to commemorate this event. I’ve received a few comments from others. You’re more than welcome to submit something if you’d like. E-mail an mp3 file to daniel [at] journeyinsidemymind [dot] com.

Anniversary Show Prep Musings

Posted in podcasting on August 27th, 2006 by Daniel Johnson, Jr. – Be the first to comment

It’s interesting for me, as I prepare for the anniversary show, to go through all the listener feedback and show IDs and shout-outs. I never would have imagined what this all would look like one year later…

Speaking of the show, it’s taking a bit longer to put together, so nothing just yet. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe… If not, then next week (I hate writing that).

In order to be wildly spontaneous and brilliantly creative, you need to prepare. Check out this clip at the Odeo blog.

Podcast Search Engine!

Posted in podcasting on March 10th, 2006 by Daniel Johnson, Jr. – Be the first to comment

Can’t remember something I said on a podcast? Well, I have news for you:

You can search the audio from past episodes via Podzinger.

Podzinger is a podcast search engine that lets you search for things on podcasts just as you would search anything else on the internet.

I submitted my request to be listed some time ago, and, while searching through my GMail, I found the message that contained the link to search the Journey Inside My Mind Podcast.

I’ll have to add that to mention it on the show.
