Noelle Rocks!

So Google Video is doing the way of the dinosaur. I got an email saying that I could transfer videos I’d uploaded to YouTube.

Back in 2005 we had just gotten our first video camera and were looking for ways to experiment with making video. While driving home from the store one afternoon, we were listening to some music, and our daughter Keisha started making her doll Noelle rock out to it. Jennie was sitting in the back and caught it on video camera.

I took the video and put it behind the the 60-second intro of “No Use Denying” by the Cool Waters Band. Since that time, the CWB is no longer together, and the website mentioned in the video is no longer around – everything has been moved to journeyinsidemymind.com.

Originally released December 2005 to the Journey Inside My Mind podcast.

New Media Cincinnati January 2009 Meetup Recap

I’ve been on Twitter since August 2006, and I’ve also been warning of this event for about 3 weeks now.  It turns out that this milestone has happened at another special time of the year. Something quite different from my 15,000th tweet from earlier this year (see picture).

Thank you for bearing with my “talkativeness” over the past 2+ years.  I hope that what I’ve said has been worthwhile. Now, onto the next post…

Black Friday – Doorbuster Unboxing

I woke the Dreamgirls up early this morning at 3 AM this morning so that we could eat breakfast at Bob Evans at 4 AM and then head to some doorbuster sales around our neighborhood. It turned out that Target had everything we really wanted. It was my first ever doorbuster experience, and I won’t forget it.

When I came home, I asked folks on Twitter if it was too self-serving for me to UStream the unboxing. I didn’t think it was interesting, but a few folks requested I do it, so I did in the video that follows. At the end of this video, I encouraged people again to check out How I Got My Job.

I think the video is about 30 minutes or so:

VIDEO: 20/20 Story on Domestic Violence

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I saw this video from YouTube and had to share it with you. It comes from 20/20, and I am very grateful that ABC has let it be up there.

It’s over 20 minutes long, and it contains graphic content. Domestic violence is real. It’s disturbing, and it’s outraging.
